Cozy stay with a lovely view
Had a fantastic time! The room was super spacious, and the view of the village square was lovely. Lin was so welcoming, especially to our dog! The breakfast was tasty, but we couldn't grab dinner since the kitchen was closed. Only thing is, we wished there were more chairs in the room.

charming stay with room for improvement
The bedding in the Classic Twin Room exceeded my expectations, providing a restful night after exploring the area. the breakfast prepared by our friendly host was a delightful way to start the day, offering a variety of options that catered to different tastes.
The decor in the room felt a bit dated, which could benefit from an update.

Ask for a room away from the bar area to avoid noise from live performances.

Lovely stay in Chagford!
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend escape in this cozy spot! The fish and chips were probably the best I’ve had, and the beer garden was perfect for chilling. Staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Only slight bummer was the room being a bit small for all our stuff, but it was comfy enough!

The place boasts a traditional pub feel, complete with a lovely wood burner and a charming curved bar. The menu offers hearty portions, and the Dartmoor IPA is a must-try— a real highlight.
The noise levels were uncomfortable. An unannounced disco kicked off while dining, and it was invasive enough to disrupt our meal. Later, late-night smokers lingered outside, shouting through our window until 11:30 PM. To top it off, the shower in the superior room lacked cleanliness. black goop was noticeable around the shower head. These issues impacted what could've been a delightful stay.

Perfect Escape for Families
We had a fantastic stay with my family. The kids loved the comfy beds and all the extra touches in the room, like the hot chocolates and robes. Plus, the breakfasts were out of this world, so many options. The restaurant's fish and chips are the best I've ever had!
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but totally worth it.

Had an awesome time with friends! We played the 18-hole course and checked out some fantastic local sites, like horse riding on the open moor. The staff were super friendly and even packed a breakfast for us since we were leaving early. The room was spacious and very comfortable, making our stay just perfect.
The shower head could have used a good cleaning, which was a letdown.

Family with children will love it
The staff was super friendly, when we arrived they helped with our luggage, and even gave us tips about local spots. The kids loved the huge fish and chips at dinner, two pieces of fish, how can you beat that?
Wasn't exactly cheap, but still felt worth it.
